BirdLife International has categorized the Egyptian Vulture Neophron percnopterus as endangered globally. Detailed studies on the biology and threats of Egyptian vultures were understudied and not quantified in South Asia. Our research intended to study the breeding biology and breeding success of the Egyptian vulture, quantify its threats, and initiate conservation activities in Nepal. For the study on breeding biology, active nests were monitored throughout the breeding period using a powerful spotting scope and super-zooming camera from the blind spot. Threats to the vulture were identified using a semi-structured questionnaire among veterinarians and farmers. Additionally, we conducted stakeholders’ meetings, community awareness programs, school teaching, and mass media campaigns to mitigate threats.
